O you the mankind! You people be mindful, cautious and fearsome of your Sustainer Lord  Who created you from one singular person;

[Similar information in 7:189;39:06]

and from that person He created its partner [wife-first relationship] [Allah has not disclosed in the Grand Qur'aan as to how she was created. Hence all what is said in this regard is nothing but conjecture and scum to be discarded straight away in line with the injunction not to pursue about which we do not have the knowledge]

 and from both two of them scattered, separated and spread numerous men and women.

And always be mindful and conscious of Allah in Whose Name you ask/claim from one another; and be mindful/have reverence for relationship of wombs by which you implore.

[For other things told in 33:52]o

   Indeed Allah is eternally watchful over you people. [4:01]

And you give to the orphans their inherited property and wealth [on reaching age of marriage-4:06 which is full maturity-6:152;17:34 and in presence of witnesses--4:06]

 and do not replace their valuable property/wealth/material with invaluable/junk things. And do not devour/consume/absorb their wealth in your personal belongings.

o

 Indeed this is a great crime/major sin/self destruction [since it is like eating hell fire 4:10]. [4:02]

And if you people [the society] apprehend that you may not be able to equally treat/look after the orphans, [it is an accepted principle of law that if the prescribed precondition does not exist the permission/action allowed to be taken ceases]

therefore/in such circumstances the best option for you people/the believing society  is to arrange the marriage/nikah from the [widowed] women in twos and threes and fours.

 For reason of being apprehensive [in meeting this command] that you will not be able to do justice and fairness [financially and physically] then in such case marry only one [widow] woman or from amongst the house-maids [with permission of her family]/believing married woman who has migrated to you.

o

  This course of action will diminish the possibility of your/the society doing injustice [to orphans and their widow mothers]. [4:03]

And you the husbands give to wives the committed bridal financial right of them [= agreed financial obligation ] as [ nihlatan, is a verbal noun] a pleasant gift given with love/affection/respect.

o

 However [since it is a promised obligation] for reason if they offer/remit any part of it for you of their own pleasure you may consume it enjoying without any perception/fear of harm/negative implication. [4:04]

And you people do not give to stupid/unwise ones your wealth which Allah has made a means of sustenance for you, but feed and clothe them therewith,

 and speak for [to] them a statement with kind and polite words of known import/true significance. [4:05]

And keep trying/educating the orphans until when they enter the age of marriage/Nikah [not age of i.e. puberty/adolescence but i.e. till he reaches strengthen maturity-refer 6:152 and 17:34] then if you find sound judgment in them, thereupon release their property/wealth to them,

And [during this period] do not consume it wastefully and hastily, fearing that they may grow up.

And whoever among guardians is affluently self sufficient, he should remain abstinent from orphan's wealth, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable in accordance with known norms of society.

  And when you release their property to them, make it a witnessed occasion in their presence;

and/though Allah is All-Sufficient for reckoning. [4:06]

For [bereaved] men is a share/inheritance from what has been left behind by parents and near relatives and for [bereaved] women is a share from what has been left behind by parents and near relatives, whether the property/moveable and immovable assets be little or much. The shares are made obligatory, apportioned [by Allah's decree 4:11] to be given to them. [4:07]

And when the division of the inheritance is attended by [non stakeholders] near ones and orphans and destitute then out of divisible wealth also give something to them,

 and speak for [to] them a statement with kind and polite words of known import/true significance. [4:08]

And the guardians/people must squeeze humbly that if it were they leaving behind the assets with minor/weak children, how fearful/apprehensive for them they would have been;

therefore/for this reason they should remain mindful and cautious of Allah,

 and they should speak in a straight forward manner with words of unambiguous import/stating distinctly like a wall which segregates/makes distinct two areas.

Undoubtedly those people who consume the property of orphans unjustly they indeed take into their bellies scalds. [Same verdict for such religious and scholarly people who conceal/withhold telling the people what Allah has sent in The Book and with that conduct business for worldly gain-2:174]

 And soon they shall be pushed into high/scorching temperature of Hell. [4:10]

Allah commands/is binding you people concerning your children [for dividing your moveable and immovable assets]; for a male child is like/equivalent to the share/portion of two female children; for reason if females [daughters] are the only posterity two or more than two, then for all them is the two-third of the inheritance, and if the bereaved is the only daughter then for her is the half of the left inheritance and for each of the parents [father and mother] of the deceased is one sixth of the inheritance if the deceased had children; and if the deceased has left no children and his parents are the heir then his mother be given one third of the inheritance, and if the deceased has siblings [brothers and sisters] then for mother is one sixth. This distribution is after meeting the legacy he may have bequeathed or the debt/obligation of promissory business transaction outstanding payment. You know not which of them, whether your parents or your children, are nearest for you in benefit [eventually on the Day of Judgment];

 this [fixed shares/division] is ordained/apportioned by Allah.

Indeed Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise, Knower of invisible/hidden realities/considerations. [4:11]

And for you husbands is one half of what inheritance your wives have left, if they have no child, ["for them" was no child includes from previous husband, if any]; for reason if they have children, then for you is one fourth of what they have left after meeting the legacy they may have bequeathed/they bequeath or the debt/obligation of promissory business transaction outstanding payment.

And for them, your wives, is one fourth of what you left behind if you have no child, for reason if you have children [including from earlier wives] then in that case the share for them is one eighth of what you left after meeting the legacy you may have bequeathed/bequeath or the debt/obligation of promissory business transaction outstanding payment.

  And if the deceased man or a woman who is leaving inheritance are such with no direct heir and have sister or brother then for each one of the two is one sixth of what the deceased has left; for reason if they the brothers and sisters are more than two then in that case they are equal share holders in the one-third after meeting the legacy he or she may have bequeathed or the debt/obligation of promissory business transaction outstanding payment, legacy/sharing which is void of inclination/evident injustice by the testator [if so this can be modified as permitted in 2:182].

 This is from Allah for adhering to it by ever sticking to it.

And Allah is Eternally All-Knowing, eternally imperturbably Forbearing. [4:12]

These are the limits/restrains/demarcations prescribed by Allah;

And whoever willingly/affectionately accepts the words of Allah and His Messenger [contained and recited by him from Grand Qur'aan],

[Similar promise 48:17;64:09;65:11]

 Allah will enter him into gardens with streams flowing beneath/side by wherein they shall reside perpetually,

[Except same information is at end of 5:119;9:89,100; 61:12;64:09]o

And this is the greatest/grand achievement/success. [4:13]

[Exactly same information in same words in 33:36;72:23]

 And whosoever does not accept the words of Allah and His Messenger [recited by him from the Qur'aan],

i.e./and he transgresses His limits/restrains/demarcations

o

 He will force him into the Hell-Fire for perpetual stay therein; and for him is [in wait] a disgraceful torment. [4:14]

And those of your women who are alleged to have indulged in illicit sexual activity [lesbianism; al fahisata is illicit sex not involving intercourse with mutual consent of a man and a woman not being married to each other] then for reason of alleging you produce from amongst your people four witnesses against them; then if those witnesses testified [in the court of law establishing their guilt] then for that reason [of conviction] restrict them in their houses till such time death segregates them or Allah makes some other course for them [refraining their meeting with other lesbians may help them get rid of this lustful disease]. [4:15]

And from amongst you those two men who commit such illicit sexual activity [homosexuality, sodomy, lewd act] then for this reason [of having been noticed mutually indulging in sex relationship] you slightly punish both two of them [as laid down in the law framed by the society]; and for reason if they both two repent/return from this illicit habit and both two have adopted proper conduct then for that reason you people divert attention from both two of them.

Indeed Allah is repeatedly forgiving/pays attention, The Merciful. [4:16]

Indeed Allah has made it a right for acceptance of repentance/approval of reversion for those people who when do an act of evil [including sexual intercourse] under the spur/dominating influence of emotionalism/passion,

Thereafter in the near future they repent [and mend their ways] then in response such are the people for whom Allah pays attention with forgiveness.

And Allah is the All Knower and The Wise/Knower of invisible/secreted/infolded. [4:17]

 And of no effect is the repentance for those people who by design keep persistently doing evil deeds until when death faces one of them he says; "Now I repent''; nor the right of reversion/pardon is for those who die and they were till that time in the state of refusing/disbelieving. They are the people for whom We have prepared a painful torment. [4:18]

O you who say to have believed! It is not permissible for you people that you coerce woman against their will/despite their disliking/hatred to remain under your control/inheritance;

 and nor you husbands should restrict/restrain/harass them with the objective of taking some part of what you have given them [which you cannot take back if you initiate divorce, by forcing them to a point where they seek divorce on surrendering/giving back some wealth as recompense-2:229]; an exception for restraining them is only for reason if they indulge manifestly in illicit sex [refer instruction in 4:15].

And you people let them live in your company in accordance with the generally accepted/known norms of society.

o

  For some reason [marriage is on apparent considerations, many thing emerge only after intimacy] if you husbands develop disliking for them then there is every possibility that something you dislike for apparent reason while Allah may have kept in that abundant good [which may become manifest for you after a while]. [4:19]

And if you have decided to replace a wife with another wife

and you had given, to one of intended to be left wives, an excessively large wealth, then for reason of having implementing the decision do not take back a single penny from that paid wealth.

o

[in desire of replacing with a new wife] Would you acquire that wealth by alleging false accusation/ calumny against her and manifest/exposing dilapidating-sin? [4:20]

[By the way] And how can you take that money back when you have since maintained "deep-association" with them and they had taken from you a solemn covenant, a binding pledge? [4:21]

And you people do not marry women whom your fathers had earlier taken into Nikah/married; [this command shall take effect prospectively] except what has already happened in the past before this injunction [revelation of Grand Qur'aan].

o

 Surely this act was obscene, vile, and abominable and an evil way/conduct. [4:22]

These women for you people have been forbidden/declared sanctified; your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your parental aunts [sisters of your fathers], and sisters of your mothers, and daughters of your brothers, and daughters of your sisters, and your foster mothers from whom you sucked milk in childhood, and your foster sisters, and mothers of your wives, and the daughters who were brought up in your care, of your such wives [from their previous husbands] with whom you have performed matrimonial relationship/sexual intercourse. For the reason if you had not done matrimonial act/intercourse penetration [and divorced before sexual intercourse, as is permissible] then there is nothing objectionable for you in marrying their daughters born from previous husbands; and are sanctified the spouses of your sons who were born of your sperm; and this is also prohibited that you join/simultaneously collect two sisters in your Nikah, but what has happened in the past, so that is a retrospective matter.

 Indeed Allah is repeatedly Overlooking/Forgiving, the Merciful. [4:23]

And amongst women those are also forbidden/sanctified who are protected/is already a wedded pearl except such married believing women [in wed fold of disbeliever] who are presently with you [as war captive/emigrant-60:10]. Allah has prescribed this for you to follow it in letter and spirit.

And women other than the identified ones have been made permissible [knot/restriction removed] for you [they are made permissible for the purpose] so that you sincerely seek them with your wealth in the manner of those who seek women to take them in the protective fold [of Nikah]/to make them a pearl of their life/home; and not for seeking them with wealth in the manner of debauch men for sexual lust/merely for flowing out the "water".

 Then for reason of having established matrimonial relation/association [unlike those wives whom you divorce without having intercourse], you people discharge your obligation/commitment with such wives, in full.

   And there is nothing objectionable/embarrassing for you if after having struck the obligation you amend it with mutual consent/understanding.

Indeed Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise, Knower of invisible/hidden realities/considerations. [4:24]

And whoever amongst you has not the means/wealth sufficient enough that he may seek for Nikah the believing women having protection of families,

for reason [of distress due to inability of suppressing the desire] he may marry from amongst those who are under your guardianship as believing maid servants [not being women of known family].

And Allah is well aware of your faith. Those believing maid servants are from amongst you.

 Therefore you [the independent but with insufficient resources men] take them into Nikah with the permission of their folk [guardians, with whom she is maid servant]

 and pay them the obligation/commitment in the well known manner as is paid to a women taken in the protective fold of Nikah/made as pearl of  life/home which is opposite the style and manner of payment to debauch/professional women [who act for the occasional "outflow of water/satisfying sexual lust"]. And nor in the manner of payment as is made to such women who maintain secret intimate relationship [act as keeps/concubine].

Therefore when maid servants are given in wedlock then for reason of having committed some "fahishatin" i.e. some illicit sexual activity [other than Zina, illicit intercourse] the punishment awarded should be half of what is prescribed [by the society in penal code] for such offence by independent family women.

This is indeed a convenience/remedy for such man of poor resources [not apparently financially capable of affording a family] who apprehend distress [danger or difficulty in holding chastity. Though sexual desire becoming manifest is something natural]

  And if you remain firm to your resolve of chastity with coolly perseverance it is far better.

And Allah is repeatedly the Forgiving/Overlooking, The Merciful. [4:25]

Allah intends to make evidently distinct for you and guide you people about the procedure/course of action in varying situations which was also followed by people before your times. And Allah intends attention for mercy upon you.

[Same pronouncement in same words in 8:71;9:15,60,97,106,110;22:52;24:18,58,59;49:08;60:10]o

And Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise, Knower of invisible/hidden realities/considerations. [4:26]

[To expand upon you, it is reiterated] And Allah repeatedly intends to turn to you people mercifully and those people, who physically follow their lusts, strongly and persistently desire that you too get deeply inclined towards such lustful pursuits. [4:27]

Allah intends to lighten things for making you agile since someone has mingled/molded the man as weakened [by inclining him to lustiness which deteriorate the strength]. [4:28]

O you who say to have believed! Do not usurp and consume the wealth/assets of others through deceit/fraud/ cheating/fabrication/scumming/scamming;

 except that the commercial/trade activity between you people should be with mutual consent/ approval/agreement.

And by illicit usurpation of other's wealth do not make your selves abhorred/repugnant/hateful in society's eye resulting in distancing.

  Indeed Allah is ever Merciful to you people. [4:29]

And whoever from you does that usurpation by transgressing/rancour and by distorting the fact/ deception/fabrication/scumming/scamming, for reason of this crime We shall soon force him into Hell.

[Same pronouncement in same words in 4:169;33:19,30]o

And this has always been an easy matter for Allah. [4:30]

[Similar information in 42:37;53:32]

If you keep avoid committing major and grave sins [that cause serious and deep rooted disturbance in society], which you are being specifically warned to refrain from,

o

 We will absolve [delete from your record book] you of your omissions and commissions of minor nature and We will honourably enter you in the place of par excellence. [4:31]

And you people do not covet in what preference/peculiarity Allah has given to some upon others. [this may nurture feeling of jealousy]

 For men is the return what they have earned and for women is the return what they women have earned. [women can earn worldly sustenance through business and other lawful professions]

And you people keep asking Allah for bestowing from His bounty.

though indeed Allah is Ever All-Knower/Aware of each and everything. [4:32]

  

And for each and every one [deceased man and woman] We have appointed heirs/relations in what is left behind by parents and the near ones;

 and those people with whom you had made solemn pledge therefore for reason of payable obligation give them their due.

Indeed Allah is Ever Witness/Observer over each and everything/matter/agreement. [4:33]

Men are protectors/caretakers [they stand for the respect/honour/dignity/rights] of women [here it should be noted that the specific word wives is not used but all women, daughters, sisters, mothers are included who are called the protected ones. because of having such protecting men] with/because of what Allah has bestowed peculiarity/individuality to some over some and [for wives, husbands are protectors] for reason that they have spent their wealth. [ is from Root"ق و م" in which the basic perception infolded is to stand, in a balanced mode. For deeper understanding see 4:135;5:08]

Therefore righteous women remain sincerely straight; they themselves guard, [dignity/rights of men/husbands] in the absence of them when they are away from sight, what Allah has protected;

[It may be other way also 4:128]

And those wives whose untoward/inappropriate conduct is making/makes you fearful

then for this reason politely and lovingly advise such of them,

and distance/shift them away from yourselves inside the bed rooms [this will retain the matter of dispute and strained relations restricted to bed room between wife and husband and, except Allah, will not be apparent/known to other members of the family and they will continue to have the general perception/understanding that both keep performing natural matrimonial association]

and [if things do not improve] you people make them surfaced/evident/move them out from the bed rooms [عن المضاجع so that the strained/suspended matrimonial relations become known/apparent to entire family. In whatever manner and for whatever purpose the words emanating from the Root   "ض ر ب" are employed the most striking and prominent feature/perception is to make that thing surfaced/apparent/visible/distinct/known/seen. It is used for giving example which means to make that thing apparent/distinct/vivid; similarly it is used for moving out in the earth from home which makes that man visible/apparent/surfaced for people. And "ض ر ب" for beating can be used only when there is a vivid sign/mark of such beating visible on the body of beaten person. It should be remembered that Allah and His Messenger Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam has not permitted in the Qur'aan physical beating of wives.  نُشُوزَهُنَّ  is too small an "offence" as compared to such wives who are عَدُوّا , enemy like, but read what Allah expects from believing husbands which will vividly indicate that a wife can never ever be physically beaten or maltreated. 64:14].

Resultantly/therefore/for reason if they accepted your word [in response to any of aforesaid options given to you] then do not pursue to find excuses against them.

 [Remember always that above you] Indeed Allah is eternally The Most Exalted, The Greatest. [4:34]

And if you people [on surfacing of strained/suspended matrimonial association on the exiting of wife from the bed room] apprehend that it might result in partition/separation between them two coupled,

 then for reason of attempting reconciliation you people appoint a revivalist from husband's family and one reconciler from wife's family so that if they two have the intention of straightening the affairs Allah will foster harmony amongst the two.

 Indeed Allah is Eternally The Knowledgeable and Aware of what is secreted and manifest. [4:35]

And you people remain exclusively subservient to [Will/Command/ Book of] Allah and you people do not  join/associate anyone/anything with Allah.

[Same direction in same words in 2:83;6:151;17:23]

And conduct with affectionate kindness with your parents,

[Same direction in 2:83]

and with kindred/family/clan/relationship of affinity, and orphans and those in need/destitute;

and with the neighbour who is close relative and with the stranger neighbour in vicinity; and with the companion/colleague and the wayfarer and with your domestic servants under your protection/service.

[Similar pronouncement in 31:18;57:23]o

     Indeed Allah does not appreciate/approve such person who is conceited, the arrogant, and the boastful; [4:36]

[Same information in same words in 57:24]

[Allah does not appreciate and approve] Those who are themselves stingy and miser and [to justify their act] instruct other people to miserly withhold the worldly wherewithal [from spending in the cause of Allah]

and conceal from people what Allah has bestowed upon them out of His Bounty [they should not consider it something better for them-3:180].

[Same warning in same words in 4:151]o

  And We have prepared for persistently denying people a humbling chastisement, one of humiliation. [4:37]

[Their parable in 2:264]

And [Allah does not appreciate and approve] those who spend their wherewithal only for pomp and show off to people

[this evidently reflects that in fact] and they neither believe in Allah nor in the Last Day.

[Read in conjunction 41:25;43:36-38;50:27]o

 And whoever has made Satan a close comrade/given him the control of mind and heart then/for reason it is the worst association. [4:38]

And what burden would it have caused them if they believed in Allah and the Last Day and had spent from the sustenance which Allah has bestowed upon them [for seeking His appreciation and approval]? And Allah is Ever Aware of them. [4:39]

Certainly Allah does not do a wrong even equivalent to an atom. And if it be a decent/appropriate deed He will double it and give from His Own Par excellence reward. [4:40]

Therefore [visualise] how shall it be when We bring forward from each and every generation a witness [from amongst the Umte Wasta] and We bring you, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam], as witness upon them. [4:41] [Read in conjunction with 2:143;16:89;22:78; and 50:21]

That day those, who persistently denied [uptill their last moment] and refused to accept the word of /recited by the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam], will desire that the Earth was leveled along with them [they engulfed as dust]. And they will not be able to hide any thing new from Allah. [4:42]

O you who declare to have accepted!

you people do not draw near/join the Salat congregation when you are in a state of scattered/ disturbed/influenced mind [for reason of drunkenness/or any other overwhelming desire/ appetite] till such time you become aware what you people say;

  and also do not go near/join Salat {enter mosque/congregation of Salat] in a state emanating from intercourse with wife/ejaculation-wet dream until you have taken bathe/purified yourselves with water, exception from bathe with water and purifying through other method is for one in journey.

and they gibe in the prescribed method/Code of Conduct

and had they said "We have listened and we have accepted, and kindly listen and pay us attention" indeed that would have been much better for them and more appropriate and sustainable

O you the people, whom Book was  given earlier also, you accept what We have gradually sent who/which certifies/affirms/sanctifies what is with you people [from Tor'aat and Injeel]

before We efface their faces resultantly We return [eyes, nose, mouth] on the back side of their faces
